Cancun, Q. R. — Four people have been captured on arrest warrants for the murder of a Cancun man after his body was found wrapped and left on a city street. The State Attorney General’s Office reports that the accused are related to events that occurred on December 20, 2023.
The three males and one female were picked up by police Thursday on arrest warrants issued by a Cancun judge. In custody are Diana “N”, Manolo “N”, Roosevelt “N” and Manuel de Atocha “N” for the December murder of an unidentified Cancun man.
According to an official statement, all four are accused of events that occurred on December 20, 2023, when police received a report from the C5 that warned of a found package wrapped and left on public road in Superblock 251.
“Agents from the Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Combating Homicide Crime verified the report at the scene, identifying a male human corpse with various wounds,” the FGE reported.
The body was located by a passerby between the streets of Isla Martinica and Calle Isla San Vicente of Cancun.
Police did not provide details as to how the man was killed or how he is related to the four now in custody for his murder. All four are being changed with qualified homicide.
